height sensor

Could some one tell me if the height sensor of the front air struts can be adjusted?
I just changed a leaking right front air strut on my Mark VIII 1996, now neither side is leaking, but the left hand (driver) side rides about half an inch lower than the right. Both sides keep their own level steady.
Another: does any aftermarket company sell molding to Mark VIIIs?
I mean that silver tape-like headache that gets rotten spots below the "protective" top layer, and there is no other fix but changing it.
Thanks

yes, use a 11mm socket or wrench on the BOTTOM nut of the front ride height sensor mount. Loosen it up, and slide the sensor UP(compressing it) about 1/2 the distance it currently is from the top(fully compressed).

tighten the nut back up, but do NOT over-tighten the nut. The stud is very fragile, and only requires slightly more than "finger tight".

if you want to actually lower the car, compress the ride height sensor fully, and do the same on the other side.

for the rear, there is only one sensor, and it is on the driver's side. that one works the opposite...it needs to be expanded to lower the car.

12mm socket/wrench, loosen the two top bolts that hold the TOP of the ride height sensor bracket. slide it UP to expand the sensor about 3/4". tighten them as tight as you need.

now cycle the air ride system, and watch it lower the ride height.
