at idle it has erratic miss fire, worst in gear (auto),changed plugs,wires, roter, and ignition control mod...2.8l v-6,'85...vacuum or sticky valve?..whatcha think?

Any starting problems or SES light? My 96' had same rough idle. After months after trouble shooting turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator.

check the simple stuff first ...
u got the wires routed correctly? double check them !
have you messed with the distributor? could it be 180 degrees off?
u changed the pcv lately? cleaned egr?
what brand plugs are u using?
