306 1.9 td tuneing

hi want to now if i change the cam in my 306 will it kill the life on the engine i was told it will only see 150,000 if i do it.it as 92k on the clock now was gonna get a pipercross cam kit for it ,as i seen 306 td on the net with silly bhp like 200+ thx

cant see why it would if the engine is in good order.
Give it a rebuild with proper gaskets, fresh oil and service etc and it will last just as long.
regular servicing is the key to keep any diesel running for 100,000's more miles

use a kent cam or similar as they will give you the best performance gains but you should get it dyno tested as the ECU might need re mapping to get the car running right.

had my 306 td tuned to 140+, but kept getting through head gaskets, and cylinder heads every year, sold the car now, but was fun when i did it, but could be unreliable often. definately decreased its life span, and i serviced it regularly.
