Race just to race

I drove around with my friend just to drive around today, for about 5 hours. I couldn't find anyone at all that was even close or over to my car that I wanted to race (sad I know).

(My Car: 2001 Grand Am SE V6 3.4L, no mods as of yet :( Soon to come though :))

Then after a while of screwing around going around 95 in a 55 and other things. It was about time to take him home. I took a state highway with the speedlimit of 45

I was really in a mood to race...anything would do. So I pull up at a stop light and right next to me is a 2001 volkswagen jetta of some kind, quite possibly a VR6. I saw this girl in the car, and I started to rev.

She was like "I think the Grand Am wants to race."

The light turned green. We both gunned it. Needless to say, she was about even for about the first second. Then I quite easily pulled way ahead. Very soon I was going about 85, while she just realized she had no hope at all. I hit another stop light and after about a minute (literally) she pulled up. Once again I gunned it and she did too. My exit was comming up so I exited. And hit yet another stop light. She however had that exit and pulled to the left of me.

Her friend was about 22 (SMOKING HOT :iceslolan ) and started to talk to me, being a good sport. She was giving me compliments, then started talking trash...apolagized and then said she had been drinking vodka for the whole night. Right before the light turned green she said that look at what she has written on her plates, because I was going to be seing it for the whole night. The light turned green and she gunned it, I waited a second or to then gunned it too. It was a left turn so she started to peel out, and I just once again smoked the two girls, then exited to the right...It was a fun end to a night.

Unfortunately, my friend had to get home, or his parents would kill him (or at least have beat the shit out of him).

I'm planning on putting a CAI in today, new exhaust system in in about a week or two, headers in about a month, and a supercharger in about a year.

Tonight I officially made my car as fast as it could go without putting something in to take out the speed max. I went 110... a hill and it cuts out at 105. Fun stuff. The CAI did a fair amount (not THAT much but it was a definate improvement).
