While browsing ebay I ran up on this.
turbo pic (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/INTEGRA-CIVIC-B-SERIES-T3-T4-Turbo-Kit-W-INTERCOOLER_W0QQitemZ7999585913QQcategoryZ33742QQr dZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting)
Looks like a real cheap price to me...
Junk?.........get what ya pay for?
Feedback please.

yes, junk. Do a search. I've seen literally 3 or 4 other threads about this same kit, in the past 3 days alone (no exaggeration). Most people complain about the shitty welds on the manifold, how they like to break.

E Honda... Want a good kit?
-KRB Fabrication (www.krbfab.com) or Spoolin Performance (www.spoolinperformance.com) Exhaust Manifold. Look into the Log 304ss Manifold. It's the cheapest, with great performance!
-T3 Turbocharger of some kind... I'm partial to DSM Turbochargers though, i.e 14b, 15g, 16g, 18g, 20g etc
-KRB Fabrication, or Spoolin Performance Downpipe (Order it when you order your Manifold, they will cut you a much better deal)
-RC Engineering 310cc Injectors
-Missing Link Adapter (Seperates the MAP sensor from the Throttle Body, so it doesn't go crazy when it reads boost, instead of vaccum)
-Intercooler Piping (There are a few companys that sell pre-bent kits for around $230. Pretty good value if you don't desire to do it yourself)
-Intercooler (Spearco is always a good option. You can find a good used Intercooler for fairly cheap)
-Blow-Off Valve of some kind (I'm partial to the Type-S)
-Wastegate (TIAL 35mm is where it's at)
-Tuning Software/System (Hondata 200, überdate, AEM EMS, CROME, V-AFC, etc)
And you can be boosting for around $1,300 or so. And not just boosting, but boosting efficiently (Well... More efficient). With such a nice car, please don't skimp out on a Turbocharger system.

SSAutochrome isn't worth the $$ to be nice about it. Far from a good pre-fabbed kit. I never cared for pre-fabbed kits. FMUs and missing links arn't my cup of tea. Just a jury rig in my opinion. Use the proper form of fuel management, a good stand alone, uberdata, Neptune or Hondata w/ boost control, and you won't need something to "trick" the ecu like a missing link does. Even some piggybacks, with the proper sensors, can see boost. I have never cared for Mitsu turbos. IF I had a pick, I'd prefer a Garrett Ball Bearing GT series turbos. Which one I'd prefer all depends on your goals for the motor and set-up. Garrett Compressor and Turbine maps are very easy to find, making it very easy to do proper turbo sizing assuming you know the math needed. The math isn't too complex to learn, and several books and magazine articles help explain and break it down if you need to learn it.:2cents:
As was said, there are several threads going on about this kit right now. The welds on their manifolds suck (you better brace the manifold if you are brave enough to use it), and I've heard of issues with the turbos going bad before. Heck, I've heard of the wastegate shooting off. You can't expect a decent kit for $725.

Sorry about not doing the search......I tend to try and answer more questions than ask......
I am not buying it......Will just wait till I this this RHD conversion done.....Motors coming back out so maybe when it goes back in..... :evillol:
P.S........For everything I read that is a P.O.S kit.
Like the glued one...... :2cents:

I saw some picks of the clip you got. Post up some pics of that RHD conversion when you're done with it. Major work to be done there. Hope it all goes smoothly for you!!!

What's wrong with a Missing Link?
-Wes
It serves it's purpose it you try to have fuel mangment with something like an FMU, certain piggybacks, etc that will need it. It's needed to trick the stock ecu and keep it from reading boost, as it is unable to. Most of these fuel managment methods arn't the recommended ones anyways, they are just the more "affordable" and "cheaper" ones.
You don't need a missing link with a stand alone, hondata w/ boost control, uberdata or Neptune. These can recognize boost on there own. Even the Greddy Emanage can with the proper sensors.
It's a better way to tune a motor. A missing link is a stop-gap. When trying to run fuel management using the stock ecu and an fmu, certain piggybacks, etc....the stock ecu goes nuts when it sees boost. So you use a missing link. It works if you really want to run your fuel managment this way.
It's better to use a standalone or software that can recognize boost on it's own, like the ones listed above. The car will drive better, idel smooth, it's more properly in tune, better fuel dilvery across the band and more reliable. It's considered the more recommended way. Most kits don't do this as it cost more, and they are trying to turn a profit. The best way is often more expensive in this case, so it's often not the way they use. Use a stand alone, hondata w/ boost control, etc and you'll need no missing link.
These can recognize boost, so you don't need the missing link, as you do not need to "trick" the ecu to keep it from seeing boost as you would if you were trying to run another method w/ a stock ecu (like an FMU).

So in a sense, it's not 'bad', it's just not as good :)
Don't forget about CROME now, that's a pretty good program, which many think is better than überdata. It's a pretty good Stane-Alone EMS as well.

You'll notice I never said the missing link was bad. I said it wasn't my cup of tea. You asked what was wrong with it, so I answered your question.
You'll also notice I had "etc" after the list near the end. There are too many decent stand alones for me to list. I could have gone and listed AEM, HKS, etc. There are more, hence the "etc." I didn't forget to list them all, but there wasn't a need to list EVERY stand alone made that a person could use.
That wasn't the intent of the post, to be a list of every stand alone on the planet. The intent was answering a question you asked.
Also, I never said a "missing link" was bad. I said FMU's and missing links weren't my cup of tea. You asked then what was wrong with the missing link. I answered the question and explain why they weren't my cup of tea. Also, you included the missing link AND a stand alone in your "list of parts for a good turbo kit." If you ran a stand alone, you wouldn't need, want, or use a missing link. So yes, running a missing link and a stand alone (which CAN regonize boost) is a bad idea.
Now let's stop this hijacking of E Honda's thread.:)

Sure there is ;) Haha, just kidding.
