late z28 camaros 2000+ are cool for getting a rearend.
Maybe older 69-82 such as Cutlass Supreme 442 cars (rear but can be found),some z28 cars, monte carlos, maybe 9 inch ford from cougars and mustangs. But newer rearends are cooler. I have just seen an add in a local newspaper about 2002 SS camaro rear complete with brakes and all. $600 canadian (well worth it). Check wreckers. I would defenatly look into some newspapers.

Your options are pretty open for a rear end. If you go with a rear out of something like a Cutlass you may have a problem mounting the torque arm, a Ford 9 in. is really strong, but it won't bolt straight up either.

I'm kinda confused. Why is the question about which rear end will work? and the tittle about a bent axle?

and why is the first question about custom air instakes?

I thought a bent axle had something to do with the rear-end. For the intake I'm still confused on that decision too.

Man first the guy who posted about his car not getting gas in your thread now a question about custom air intakes in a thread whose title is bent axles, and he's asking what posi will fit in his car. This forum just keeps getting better and better :grinno:

A bent axle is something that is easily replaced and wouldn't require swapping rears. It is held to the rear differential with a C-clip and unless the housing itself is damaged?. Why would you replace the whole assembly. If your looking to upgrade. I can see going to a 12 bolt rear or replacement wise. 89 - 02 F-body rears will work.

I can get you a posi unit if you like., I am just saying that a bent axle wouldn't require changing the whole assembly.

...but if you have an open diff now kick yourself in the ass and get a posi while you're down there

Probably 300+, depends on what you want, it could go much higher. Just remember you don't just bolt it right in, at least not if you want it to last, so add installation.

The hell.. if I remember correctly Link did a ass transplant and he said it bolted right up.

A complete assembly install and a posi swap are 2 different things and both really should be rechecked for backlash and preload.
