my drivebelt needs to be changed, battery is not keeping a charge i need instructions on how to do it i have a 6 cylinder

this is generic instructions (naturally, they show like a 4cyl. RWD ford wagon, or an old Lynx or something).
the Fiero is basically the same, save there is virtually little room to maneuver in the serp.belt side of the engine.
on the 2.5Ls it seems virtually impossible to slip the belt over the final pulley. it was easier to put the vehicle on a jack stand on the passenger side, and get the belt on every thing BUT the crank, get underneath, and pry the belt (while someone either holds the tensioner for you, or using your ratchet, prop it with tension on it), and using a screwdriver, get the belt at least on a couple of grooves, even partially on the crank. take the ratchet out of the way, and you can then "bump" the ignition, and the belt should "walk" the rest of the way onto the pulley.
the V6 might be easier, I know the 2.8L is in my S10, but there again, AMPLE room as the engine faces forward.
