I have a third gen that's been lowered too much. It currently has a pair of KYB GR2s and the coil springs look shorter also. Does anyone know where I can find some good sports shocks to get to oem height?

my old camaro has koni shocks and eibach springs that take it down 1". Its not too low and not too high. I like it. Except you feel EVERY bump in the road. And you want to avoid brick roads at all times. So it would all be preference as to what kind of firmness you want. It was a rough ride but man did that thing ride on rails. The roughness could be eased by adjusting the firmness a little cuz I had them all the way tight. I have heard that kyb's are a little better in that reguard. You say the car has coil overs right now? Thats pretty cool.

The problem is that the rear has normal shocks but the front is lowered and I can't turn the wheels much, they're rubbing against the control arms.

Does anyone ride on oem height? What I was hoping to find were some racing shocks that kept the car high enough...but I still can't find anything, just a lot of lowered Irocs.

Why bother it looks all right. But are there any aligment issues?Ho doest handle?
All these stuff on it is pretty expensive.

I try to turn the wheel and the handling is like a tank. Here's the reason, http://img1.yoxio.com/img/197225.jpg
and these are the struts on there now--->http://img1.yoxio.com/img/197226.jpg

Alright, I found out what the problem was. The car had been sitting for a few years and since these are gas shocks, the gas completely seeped out of them and the front end fell, which made the control arms low and the tie rod etc were misaligned.
So yeah the car's lowered alright.

just grab a couple of replacements and swap them in and you should be alright.

If you are not happy with the ride of the car lowered, and the wheels rub the control arms when turned, is it really worth it? To me it wouldn't be. This is the kind of crap that makes you not want to drive your car. If new shocks don't bring it up enough, try a less lowered spring. I know this is a no brainer but it doesn't matter how expensive the pieces on the car are if you don't like it. The reason I bring up expense is because in one of the other post someone mentioned that those were pretty expensive peices. Ride stance is not as important as handling, and if it feels like a tank then not only are the shocks to blame maybe the springs too. If the springs suck you will shorten the life of your shocks.

you said what needed to be said  Lemme give a for instance to everyone here. The cheapest you can get are Gabriels and Monroes, for around 100-200 for the set. Everyone makes a big deal out of KYB's but it's the AGX's that are really worth it. the price of shock absorbers/struts will jump in between models and the hard part about this is determining if you should buy the best shocks a cheap company sells. The bottom line, IT'S FRICKIN HARD TO SHOP FOR SHOCKS
I'm going to determine now whether I need new springs, but mostly because they were crushed/compressed by the engine bay lol. They may still work though.
