Who's make them? Its werid because they seem to be in all kinds of cars. What country are they made / designed.
Also... I want to know how good / reliable they are. The new 2.4L sounds like it will be a big upgrade. Hopefully in a few years they will be able to compare to most Toyota and Honda engines. Who knows... Maybe someday they will even best the JP engines ;D

Made by GM, used in chevy, pontiac, saturn, and possably a few other things. They are good motors for the most part, never really seen any common repetative problems out of them.

the Ecotec family is also used by Opel and Vauxhall
The ones in American branded cars are built in the US, but the design was a "World design" with input from American, German, and Australian engineers.
GMPP already has a full line of high performance aftermarket internals and there is nearly a full line of performance parts for it.
