1990 Buick Century reading code 33

Code 33 on a 1990 Century. This is a MAP sensor voltage too high. Only problem is, the 1990 doesnt have a MAP sensor!!!! WTF?!? Car runs fine cold, but when it is warmed up it clunks out every single time! Would be consistent with a MAP sensor, only problem is I cannot find it and every parts store that I called asking for a MAP sensor say they dont show this model having one! HELP!

Code 33 is also MAF sensor or circuit.

MAF sensor? I used a computerized diagnostic scan tool. It told me it was a MAP sensor; must have just been gerneralizing...

Anyway, I will take a look at the MAF sensor and post an update. Thanks guys.

BTW, HotZ28, I looked at the link you posted and yes, they do sell a MAP sensor for the 3.3L (thats what I have) on the Limited Century. I cannot explain it. Check out Rockautoparts.com. They just sell the pigtails and not the sensor!?!?!

I am hoping its a MAF sensor....

Update...My car doesnt even start at this point. I had it running on the computer diagnostic to read the trouble codes, turned it off, tried to start it up again and it wont...

Do you have spark or fuel?

It was the MAF sensor. The car does not have a MAP sensor.

Someone on another forum told me to have someone crank the engine while I hit MAF sensor w/ something hard. Car started right up, so that was the problem.

Replaced the MAF sensor, and car runs great, except for stalling before the car is warm. I am probably going to replace plugs and wires to see if that corrects it.
