rough idle

Daughter called today complaining (what else is new) of the car running rough at idle. Came home and found a vacuum hose off on the left side back corner of the intake. Anybody know what hooks to that port? Tried to plug the port but the car died right away.

I'm going to guess that your referring to the hose that goes between the fuel pressure regulator(front of fuel rail) and MAP sensor ( black box between plenum and power pack). If you take the MAP sensor out you'll see the nipple that the hose connects to.
