2000 Expedition will not turn-over

Twice in the past 2 weeks, I have tried to start my Expedition and get no response from the engine. The dash lights go off as if it's trying to start but I still get nothing from the engine...no clicks, pops, etc.
I have tried 3 separate keys, tried reprogramming keys, etc. Nothing helps. If I let the vehicle sit for about 1 hour, it starts as if nothing was wrong.
I took it to the dealership today and paid $89 to have them tell me: It's not the battery, not the anti-theft device, not the starter, nothing is wrong.
It really seems like an anti-theft issue but the dealer says no. Any suggestions?

This problem continued until it finally wouldn't start at all. I replaced the starter relay (mounted on the firewall) and problem is now resolved. This relay is available only at the dealership and should run about $30. It took no more than 10 minutes to install.
Good luck, Ken

I am having the same problem -- Dealer could not diagnose -- this has been happening for about 2 months, driving me nuts.
everything works -- it won't turn over -- let it sit -- starts great.
So far I've read about people getting help changing the engine immobilizer (transcerner) or the starter relay

Chestermom-
I replaced the starter relay shortly after my last post and I've not had a problem starting since then. Just pick it up at your local dealer for $35 - $40. It's a quick mount on your firewall and should fix the problem. Good luck.

Ken -- thanks for your quick reply -- how long ago did you replace the starter relay?

I replaced the start relay back in September 2005 and everything has worked fine since.
