single cam vtec head on dohc zc block

is this possible? i thought it wasnt but some guy is telling me he has done it numerous times

I thought it wasn't either because although they are both D series a sohc head should fit onto a dohc block.

you sure it's not the "mini-me" swap he's talking about ???

it wont fit. the head bolts are in different locations.
