Engine Light and P0700 Code

The engine light came on 2001 Durango yesterday. I was able to determine the diagnostic code was P0700. I understand this refers to a Transmission Control System Malfunction. Can anyone enlighten me with more detail on a diagnosis for this code.

The engine light came on 2001 Durango yesterday. I was able to determine the diagnostic code was P0700. I understand this refers to a Transmission Control System Malfunction. Can anyone enlighten me with more detail on a diagnosis for this code.
I don't know the exact code I had, but my check engine light came on twice over the period of three months, and it was definitely the Transmission Control system.
The first time was the switches, not communicating to the transmission to shift into overdrive. And the second time was that relay(s) had to be replaced.
My engine light came today, non-transmission related.
