:crying:
OK, SO I GUESS I SHOULD TAKE THIS AS A SIGN THAT I SHOULD STOP SMOKING IN MY CAR. I WAS OUTSIDE YESTERDAY (SMOKING IN MY CAR) AND I HAD ROLLED THE WINDOWS DOWN SO MY BFRIEND WOULDN'T SMELL THE SMOKE. WHEN I HAD FINISHED, MY BACK DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW WOULDN'T ROLL BACK UP. AND JUST MY LUCK, ITS BEEN RAINING ALL DAY......... :crying: I DONT THINK ITS A FUSE, BECAUSE I GRABBED THE CAR MANUAL, AND IT SAID THAT IF IT WAS A FUSE (FROM HOW I UNDERSTOOD THE BOOK) IF THE POWER WINDOWS DIDN'T WORK, #1, NONE OF THEM WOULD WORK, AND #2, NEITHER WOULD THE 'DELAYED FUNCTIONS (?)' EX. POWER SEATS, WINDOWS, ETC. NOW WHEN I TRY TO ROLL UP THE BACK WINDOW, I DONT EVEN HEAR THE MOTOR TRYING TO WORK...........I GUESS MY QUESTIONS ARE: 1: CAN I FIX IT AT HOME, 2: IF I CANT WHERE SHOULD I TAKE THE CAR, AND 3: HOW MUCH SHOULD I EXPECT TO PAY FOR IT? THANK YOU GUYS FOR ALL YOUR HELP ON THIS!!

First thing to do is to remove the switch and see if current is flowing through switch to the motor. If no current is going to motor, replace switch. If current is going to the motor, replace motor. It can be repaied yourself. If it is the window motor, sometimes you can kick the bottom of door and it will start to work. The window motor replacement can be kinda hard if you have never fooled with one.

If the motor has some bad brushes, the advice offered above on hitting the bottom of the door is good. With the heel of your hand give the bottom of the inside of the door a good bang. If you're lucky that will allow it to work long enough to get the window up. It will also confirm that the motor needs to be replaced.
