I have a 2004 Silverado, I change the oil every 3000 miles, the message center continues to display a message "Change Engine Oil", I can not find anywhere how to reset that message? IF you have an idea, I would appreciate your help!

Thanks in advance.

Is that true? Can anyone verify it?

This is correct on 99-02 models. Probably the same for later models.

Scared me the first time it happened on my ride as I had just changed my oil 750km prior. I remember reading about the reset here and it fixed the problem.

it is very true.
You can read all about it in your owner's manual.

It works for 99-present models. It's not a lie, its in the manual.

In the September 2005 issue of GM Techline for GM employees, the instructions have been given to them also. I think the techs were not resetting the oil life monitors either......
