More Boost???

Hello fellow AF Junkies.
I have a question. I was wondering if putting an aftermarket air intake (AEM, INJEN ect..) would increase the boost on my REX.
I was reading through some other posts and discovered that other people with factory turbo cars have noticed boost increases from simply changing the air intake system.
BTW. I already have a cat back 3" exhaust with 3"high flow muffler.
Oh and also, I heard that an in box K&N FILTER MAKES 4KW ON THE REX IS THIS TRUE?
Please let me know.
Oh and one more thing I Smoked a Type R last night I launched his ass at 6000 rpm. He was so far behind after the launch that he let off and didnt even try to catch me ..LOL i love Scooby Snacks.
