My radio antenna plug is messed up

I took out my old stock radi out of my 94 hatch and put it my cd deck. I pull out the radio antenna from the back of the old stock radio, and aside from the plug being an exposed wire, the wire broke off!
It wasnt like a normal plug, really weird. So can i just go to radipo shack and but whats left of the old wire and cap a new plug on it>?

you should be able to do that. u can buy the piece with wire on it and splice it into the old wire.

you should be able to do that. u can buy the piece with wire on it and splice it into the old wire.
