help me out please!

i have a 1997 gst i put new lifters in from SBR today and 10.3 magnacore wires and my car runs like shit, i did everything vfaq said it was done perfectly, could it be my wires soing this my car sounds like a goat cart, do u think my timing is off? whats going on with it my check engine light came on wtf can some1 please help me?!?!!?!

Hmm i remember a long time ago my car sounded like a toy car. Right after having a new motor put in. My old mechanic looked at it, tore it apart and said i spun a silent shaft (balance shaft) bearing. Hopefully your timing is ok. Go check it to be sure.
