Headlamp power motor noise - need help

I have a 93 formula and the headlights work fine when the raise but when I turn them off, they still go down fine but make a terrible sound for about 3-4 seconds after the are down. It's loud enough to where I'm considering disconecting the motors. Can anyone help?

Yeah, your headlight motors are starting to go bad. Same thing happened with my 3rd gen, so I fixed them and wrote a tech article. Unfortunatly it doesn't apply to you since you have a 4th gen, so you have to wait for a fellow 4th gen owner to chime in with the website.

Motors are fine.

It is the gears. Get some brass ones.

yeah, i did a repair, just rotated the gears to a spot where the teeth werent worn down and it worked fine for a while (im cheap) but now im getting the brass ones
