price!!!!

im sure this has been asked before but here goes......... my neighbor wants to buy a max. a dealer wants 20k for a 99 maxima se auto. no bose stereo, no leather, does have power driver seat and moonroof. only has 31k on it tho. i told him 20k was way too much. i was thinking about $17,500 any feed back is appreciated. also does Nissan have a certified program like honda and toyota?

Well this is just my opinion, but i think thats way to much for a base kinda se. I was thinking more of your line of price 17,500. That sounds better. I only paid $7,000 for mine at jan 2001, but its got everything but the spoiler, and fog lights. That will change if I can find me a bumper with the fog lights in it. :)

I just bought a '99 Maxima SE 5 speed fully loaded for C$19,000 plus tax. This one is fully equipped with leather. roof. Bose, spoiler and wood panelling. Mileage is 55,000 miles (80,000 km) so that may be a factor.
Your numbers seem high to me. Have seen similar machines to mine with lower mileage running, on average, at C$24,000 up in this neck of the woods.
