I am thinking about putting a shift kit in my 2000 3.8L camaro, what is a good brand to look at? About how much do they cost? (sorry i am just getting into this whole modification thing with my car..hah)

I always recommend TransGo shift kit. Mainly due to their great reputation. Go here: http://www.ftpp.net/V6Main.htm
And go down to the "Transmission" link at the bottom left. That should take you to a page with dozens of brands of shift kits for your car.

there's a guy on ebay that has TONS of transgo shift kits, I got mine for my 4L60E for about 80 bucks. He has a ton of other parts too. I haven't installed it yet, haven't had time and kinda don't wanna do it myself. But it looks like a really good kit. This guy was great to do business with too...here's his ebay store http://stores.ebay.com/Oregon-Performance-Transmission_W0QQssPageNameZviQ3asibQ3astoreviewQQ tZkm It may be confusing looking for it if you have no idea, so just shoot him an email and he'll help ya out. I also recommend the Corvette 1-2 servo to upgrade your 4L60E. I haven't done it but I've heard tons of good things. And everything can be done with the tranny in the car. Good luck

Camaroguy26. You already have a bad ass car, but ever think of putting in a stage 3 t-56 borge warner with 4:10 gears. I'm sure you could rip hunks of asphault out with that tranny.

man you're reading my mind, but it's so hard to get a kit or a donor car for that setup. Besides, I can't afford it lol, as soon as I can though the A4 is coming out, it'll be a while but it's my dream.
