dash and tail lights out

Greetings, my son and friend changed out stereos in 1990 olds delta 88 Royale braughn, the cd player works , But the dash lights and tail lights went out. The headlights work also the hazards. We checked the fuses and they are fine. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Do the back up lights work? and other problems.... When you connected the dimmer wire... you might need to double check the stereo wiring for any cross wires.
On your fuse panel... take new 20A and try in.. 1B, 6B.
I have put in stereo and other sound systems into both 2 of my olds. and i never did that

Thanks for the quick reply, yes the back up lights work also the brake lights. He has gone off to college and is 2 hours away. He has checked the fuses and still having problem.
