Gas Gauge Malfunction

HOw can I test if my gas gauge is reading right? I filled it up with no more than 9 gallons after i was running on fuems, and I have used up at least 6 gallons since then and my gas gauge is reading just under a half tank? i should have around 2-3 gallons left.

Ahhh. What your telling us is you've noticed how the 2g gas indicator sucks ass! Yeah, for what ever reasion they all suck balls. I ran 40miles with my gas light on yesterday, went to the pump, put 12.6 gallons of supper juice in a 16.9 gallon tank! $41.

take off the plastic peice around the guage cluster and remove the clear one too,then go fill your tank to the max,,then move the needle by hand to F then it should be ok,try that it worked for me

The most I have been able to put into the beast was 13.8 gallons, and the needle was buried and my light was on for 3 days. I just know that when the light comes on, I have like 1/4 left.
