I've done a search and it seems as though many have this problem, but I can't find a cure yet...
1990 Celica GT, just about power everything, most stuff works fine.
The Cruise Control worked twice since I've had this car, and I'm tired of it failing to go on.
The light comes on.
What can I do to find the problem, and fix it?
thanks

check all your fuses, cruise control is one of those things that just likes to go on and off... could be a bad relay or sensor... is your spedo working?
this is one of those things that will most likely end up in the shop sry :)
this and ac are the types of things that usually end the car up in the shop

The Speedo Works fine; in fact, I just had the clutch done and they replaced the speedo cable, and connections.
The thing is, the cruise worked for one day, after I got it's inspection sticker, and then never worked again. I thought that maybe something they did while it was getting emissions tested made it work, and then it reverted back to non-functional mode the next day.
Its really a pain cause I'm a truck driver and my gas peddle leg could use a brake on the hour long drive home from work.
If I can't find a cure, I guess I'll pay the shop....I'd rather do fix it myself though. I plan on replacing the sunroof motor myself in a few weeks...I know that will be a job.
