I own a 94' Wrangler, 2.5L/4Cyl. I have been having problems for the past few years while fueling the vehicle. The automatic gas nozzle cut-off (Gas Station), regardless of gas tank level, "cuts-off". I have tried different gas stations, different octane levels and different positions of the gas nozzle. None of these seem to help. It now takes me 10 minutes to fill the 13 gallon gas tank. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem with my yj, and you just gotta push it in real hard, and then make sure that you hold it in there, cause ive had the license plate push the nozzle out before....not good

You might want to check to make sure there's no obstruction in the fuel filler nozzle on your Jeep. I've had my share of "early clicks" at the fuel pump, but in every case have been able, as you say, to turn the handle or pull it out a little to make the problem go away.
Has it always been like this or has the problem developed recently?

I've had a similar problem with my '98 Wrangler. The new vapor recovery nozzles seem to 'trap' vapors a bit too much where the nozzle is and cuts off the fuel flow as if the tank is full. I've had to cock the vapor recovery attachment on the fueling nozzle a bit so it will fill at normal speeds. Has happened at about 1 in 10 gas stations, depending on how new their pumps are.

I had the same problem with my old jeep. It was a 93 Wrangler and I somehow crushed the vents on the top of the fuel tank. Because the vents were crushed it would build up pressure in the tank and cause it to shut the pump off way to soon. I now own a 95 and haven't had a problem. Hope this helps
