Noisy A/C Clutch

OK, I give up! Now that I finally got my GT overheating problem solved, the A/C clutch is now making a horible grinding noise. Does anyone know if it is possible to just remove the clutch portion in hopes of stopping the noise and leaving the pully on until I can get a replacement A/C compressor? I know there is a snap ring that holds the pully on after the clutch is removed, but is it strong enough to hold the pully on without the clutch in place?

Just go to autozone and get a replacement.
