I wasnt sure if i should make a writeup on this or not so im gonna post it here first and you guys can let me know.
If any of you are like me you research a subject before proceeding to do it. I did this with the suspension installation of GC Coilovers on my KYB AGX shocks and still had tons of questions. This may help clear a lot up. This is only if installing GC Coilovers, (other coilovers may be the same but im not sure)
First off when purchasing the KYB AGX shocks you want to to get the shock setup for the AWD, not the frontwheel drive. The reason for this is the Rear shocks on the AWD have a spring perch that has been pressed on, unlike the FWD Rear shock setup where the Spring perch has been Welded on. So weather you have a FWD or AWD always order the AWD shocks (front and rear).
Here are the item #'s for the KYB AGX shock youll need.
Front: 741042
Rear: 741020
Once you have your shocks you want to use a hammer and knock off the spring perches on them. They will be pressed on so it might take a couple hits but they will come off.
Once you have the perches of the shocks knocked off you will place your coilover sleeve on the shock and press it onto the bumps where the old perch was. It will kind of press into place. Then the spring goes on and you can assemble the rest of your shock as it says in the other writups or in VFAQ.
Just trying to clear up confusion with this subject, if you have any questions you can PM me.

They are the shorter shock body. All the new models have the revised shock body.
