Floor mat recall

As many of you know, there has been a recall on the floor mats for some of our cars. Well, I checked into it a bit, and even though my VIN# wasn't listed in those of the recall, I felt that my drivers side mat had the symptoms of the recall. So, I spent 2 hours at the dealership today trying to get it taken care of. Well, they of course did not want to help me, they were worried about how they were gonna get paid, and all that crap. I told them that I had already contacted Nissan, through their website and e-mail, and they told me that the dealership could take car of me if they found my mats to be a problem. Anyway, to cut to the chase, if you have a 2L in you VIN#, check your mats. If they appear to have been cut at the top, insist on new mats!! I found that to "fix" my mats, they simply cut what looks like the trim from the top of the mat!!! Those mats go for $80!!! Do you wanna pay $80 for something that someone cut w/scissors? I don't!! My mats slid forward, and that caused other cars mats to block the break pedal.
One of the guys who worked at the dealership even got into an accident because of that, and they still were hesitant to take care of me. If I hadn't insisted that I had a problem, they wouldn't have taken care of me. You must be persistant, and insist that they take care of you! Check your mat to see if it has been cut. If it has, make sure you get it replaced! They will do it, under a "GOODWILL" policy.

Sorry for the long post!!!
