I know this may sounds crazy but on my 1996 Plymouth Voyager the headlight come on when the drivers door is opened. They remain on for 10 or 15 minutes. The switch inside will not effect the lights, only until the door is cosed for a period of time will the light go off. The chime inside rings as if you forgot to turn light off. After the van is running they still stay on. Ever heard of this? Help? Could it be some computer in van, or BCC?

The BCM controls most of this stuff. you might try pulling the IOD fuse under the hood on the power dist. center above the battery for about 20 seconds and reseat , these things get confused sometimes.

When outside door handle is used to open the door in an older van, it sets a timer that lit the dome ligt for several seconds to one minute.... not 15 minutes!!
