The horn on my 1994 Mazda Protege has gone off a couple times at night unexplainedly. One time it was beeps and the other time one steady honk. It will stop as soon as I go down and hit my horn myself. Does anyone know what this problem is and how to fix it?? I don't have a car alarm either. Thanks and God Bless.

The ground wire for the horn button on your steering wheel likely has a bare spot where the insulation has worn off, and it makes an intermittent short.
Likely your horn button will need removing; possibly the entire steering wheel, to repair the problem.
IMHO don't try this at home. Working with a loaded air bag in the steering wheel is hazardous and should be left to a professional.
