What is the fuel requirements of a 1997 Continental? Can I get by with regular 87 octane sometimes. . or is a midgrade ok. . or straight Premium fuel 100% of the time? I have just acquired my car and am still learning all the good things about it. .

No Owners Manual :nono:

Keep an eye on Ebay for the manual (http://search.ebay.com//search/search.dll?from=R40&satitle=1997+Continental+Manual), I see them running anywhere from $10 to $60 depending on the condition and seller.

My 1996 4.6 TC is strictly 87 Octane regular.

That's for sure :)
I don't know what the differences would be :(

There's a few guys over at
Lincolns Online (http://www.lincolnsonline.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum&f=24) that had this conversation recently with some detailed explanation...

You might want to hop over and give then a shout..
