I read on here about how to change the power window motor on my 96 Grand am.
Well i drilled out the 4 rivits that hold the motor bracket to the door pannel. But what do i do next to get the motor out??? I read that i have to take the whole track out, Is that right??? if so what bolts to t i take off??
Thanks

There is another track that is mounted near the seat belt, 2 bolts hold that track on. Its easier if you roll the window down part way if you can, that way its all in one line and it comes out of the door much easier. Don't forget to unplug the electrical connector and make sure you put the window in a safe place after you remove it. Hope this helps.

Thanks. It worked! But when i role the window all the way up, the door pannel pushes out a little. Why is that?

The torque from the window motor flexes the inner skin of the door. Make sure the bolts you used to install the regulator are TIGHT! If not, they will loosen up and can make a mess of things.
