not sure whats wrong with brakes

I baught my girlfriend a 96 chrysler cirrus, same thing as stratus as you all know, i just was not getting the replies in there. Anyways when i got it the brakes where spungy. And now since she has had it for 2 weeks they have got worse. You have to push to the floor now. I tried to bleed the front calipers but the damn bleeders will not budge. So before i go farther messing them up let me ask this. Does it sound like a bleeding problem or beake booster or master cylinder?

yeah, that definetly sounds like a master cylinder going bad.

If the pedal is going to the floor, its not likely the booster. Check very carefully for leaks. Then bleed 'em!! start with right rear,left rear,right front,left front. If that does not help, and no air is found, then replace the master.
