need help with my 1987 vic

hey i need some help with my car, what has happened is i was pulling out of the driveway, about to put it in drive, and it just shut down, i tried to restart it and it acted like it had a dead battery, but the dashboard lights were on, no other lights were, then as i moved it out of the way and parked it i tried to start it and it was cranking, it just would not start, it was on the edge of started i guess, im really not sure, it might be the fuel filter im tihnking, but i really cant tell, could be something to do with my wiring also, just need some help as soon as possible, thanks.

i'm having similar problems...
noone can find it!!! it's been in the shop for 6 WEEKS
i've changed everything...my guess is a relay that shuts down and starts up when it's good and ready
