Fuel Rail O-Ring

I ran a search and I believe I came up with the answer, but I want to double check. While replacing the intake manifold lower gaskets, when I went to put the fuel lines back on the rail I noticed what looks to be an o-ring groove in the line that goes in the fuel rail closest to the firewall. This line has the accumulator can on it. There's no o-ring inside the rail or in the groove of the fitting. Should there be one?

When I ran the search what I came up with is that it should be a green o-ring. Is this correct or are people refering to another o-ring in the system?

Thanks for the help.

I will check that for you when I get to work tomorrow, I don't have access to the GM computer at home, so check back and I'll post what I find.

BTW- My Grand Prix is a 97 w/ a 3.1L

I did go to the dealership and they brought up the fuel lines, but all it showed was the fuel line. It didn't appear as though there was a more exploded view of the fuel line showing the fitting, o-ring, etc.

However, when he looked at the part number, it showed all the related parts and he came up 17077609 and 22514722, both o-ring seals. The 1707 looked like it would fit, but I bought both and ended up installing the 1707 part. The 225 looks like the o-ring that goes on the end of the fuel filter.

It seems to fit well, but I haven't got everything else bolted together so I can prime the system and check for leaks.

Thanks for your help. I'd still like to see what you come up with.

the numbers you are showing are for the end of the fuel feed lines where they hook to the fuel supply lines coming from the tank. According to the GM computer, the o-rings on the rail side are part of the steel line, and they have no separate part number for them .
