Replacing Starter in '97 Grand Caravan

Newby here. Wife's ride won't start. Replaced battery yesterday. "Click". All lights, radio, tones, work, however, it won't even attempt to turn over.

I'm assuming that it's the starter. Agree?

If so, how easy are they to change? Where exactly are they located?

If it's not the starter, any idea what it could be?

The starter is expensive.You can replace the contacts instead of replacing the starter.First disconnect the negative battery cable.Is a 3.0 or a 3.3?It is real easy to replace and is front of the engine below the exhaust manifold.To replace the contacts,there is a cover plate with three 7mm headed bolts and each side there are two copper bolts with a 12mm and a 14mm sized nuts.I do not know where you can get the contacts and that is what goes bad

Try cleaning the starter connections before replacing it . these are subject to corrosion .

I ended up replacing the starter motor myself. It was about $99 for a rebuilt starter and a core charge of $50 for a total of 150. You get your $50 back after you return your old one.

If it is your starter, I recomend that you do it yourself. Its super easy and it could take anywhere from 10 min to 30min.
