I have a 1986 GMC S-15 4x4 Gypsy with a 2.8 V6 with a RV Cam
I was offroading today, and i seemed to kill my headlight fuse, so i replaced it and still nothing, I went through 4 20 amp fuses before i got angrry and drove home, i went through the haynes book and that was no help, the fuses section is just genereal information. I saw that i had a 20 amp fuse where a 10 is suppose to be ( ECM slot ). What would happen if a bigger amped fuse was placed in a smaller one?. and this is about the 6th time that ive blown that headlight/instrument cluster fuse.

It's not your fuses that are the problem, you have a short in your wiring that you will need to track down. Somewhere in your headlight harness you have a hot wire rubbing ground causing the fuses to blow.
