first off, hello everybody.

i have determined that my front drivers side wheel bearing needs replaced, but i do not have the torque specs for this job.

could someone please let me know what they are?

i need the wheel nut torque, which i have read is 30# and then 284 degrees (what kind of torque spec is that?) and i also need the spec for the torqs head bolts on the housing.

i have searched and cannot find these values.

thanks a ton.

Wheel nut torque should be 100 lbs, are you referring to the axle nut? The spec you gave sounds like the right one for that. The reason its like that is you set it to a base torque then tighten it the additional movement to tighten it to the amount required. Different parts on the same car will give you different torque readings, a gm part will read differently from an aftermarket part.

i believe 280 degrees is almost 3/4 of a turn, just as you would tighten other/regular wheel bearings.
