95 tranaxle problem?

I was getting on the freeway got up to about 60mph then all of a sudden car acted like loss power but i looked at rpm's and the car was running fine. Pulled over put the car in park then shifted to drive went up to about 30mph then it was like it was slipping major, rpm's were going up but car wasn't moving fast. have no reverse, makes a loud ticking sound as if there was a bad lifter in motor any suggestions will help.

Could be a number if things! Unless you found a snapped drive shaft (not likly). You would need to do some wrenching to see if you can find the problem! Somethings to start with would be; any SES lights, Try to locate the ticking sound if it started when this problem started! You might even have some internal engine damage!

could i have broken the clutch pack? and if so how hard is it to replace
