Swapping steering columns??

Is it possible to swap a complete steering coulmn w/tilt from a 90 crx si to a 1990 civic std? (I have the crx dash installed in my civic.)
Would it be safer to swap in a steering column w/tilt from a 90 civic? The main thing that I want is the tilt steering!! I have to replace the whole thing cuz I let a "mechanic" install an aftermarket steering wheel. I picked up the car and everything was fine for like 2 days. Then one day I was making a left into my driveway and the whole steering column fell to the floor. Turns out the S/wheel would not fit so he hammered away till it did. In the process he broke the shaft mounts and a few other things!! So now when I put my blinker on & I am done turning I have to return the blinker to the off position EVERY DAMN TIME!! Not to mention that the steering column is just kinda ghetto rigged now. I don't feel safe driving in my car with that sheit like that. SO ANY INFO IS GOOD INFO THANKX!!

yeah it will swap out. The tilt doesnt really tilt alot though.

Will Both CRX and Civic fit?

Yes. And not only the si's have tilt, some DX's do also. And any year 88-91 will fit.

Do you think I should pay the junkyard an extra $25-30 to take it off?? Is it fairly easy to remove? I just would'nt want to screw up anything electrical. Thanks for the info.

Depends on the junk yard, some take the stuff off for you anyway.
