I cant help it. I really dont like hondas cause im such a nissan lover, but this car just gets me. And im sure its gonna be a steal as well, civics always are. This si looks great, and i would make mine look more like the concept. I think ill be owning a honda b4 too long. But its in contest with the 06 Sti. Its either spend more money, and go balls out, or stay modest with some stank. What would you guys do?

WTF? how are you comparing a Civic Si to a WRX Sti? Unless you meant Si.

I'd save some money and get a GS-R.

why

more bang for the buck, and a nice B18 engine. But on the downside, they are stolen a lot.

i guess they are cheaper now but they are still slower and the b18 isnt too much better than the k20
but the gs-r does handle way better

Yes Im saying the WRX STI, cause the wifey said she likes the civic, but i like the subaru, but theres a big diffrence in price. If i got the STI though, i would prolly not do much to it, cause id be paying it off with all the money i have. BUT on the other hand, if i get this new Si, i think there would be a lot less out of MY pocket money, i think, b/c im almost SURE there will be a lot of companies that will want to sponser a nice new clean, un modded car. There are too many STi's around here, so i think ill take the honda. I never thought id say that! but one day ill have all three cars..... The honda, the subaru, AND my 200sx. it WILL happen.

Sorry, the Spec will out-handle a GS-R. Not a Type-R, though. And yes, the K20 is superior to the B18 in every way, but I was purely considering money in my original post, seeing as how you can get a GS-R for nearly half the price of a RSX-S.

a spec not beating a gs-r through twisties? The skidpad numbers on the spec were not too far off from the STI, and in the slalom the spec beat the new stang GT, at 71mph i thikn, plus not to mention i raced a friend of mine in his gs-r and we both went to make a turn off into this gas station doing about the same speed, i made it but he jumped the curb.......

And the Spec beats the STi's slalom speed.

rofl... okay lets settle this... buy the gs-r and I will meet you with my spec... that way we can all stop complaining. Someone else is driving, though... Who wants to drive my spec for me?

i'm not sure about the numbers but having friends with both cars I have to say I love GSR's my friends handles pretty well but at the same time he's probably a better driver than the guy I know with the spec v so I don't know. But I'm pretty sure GSR's respond better to mods though so it all depends

Yeah, a GS-R responds way better to things like intake and exhaust, both of which would put it into Spec territory. But as far as stock FWD handling, it doesn't get much better than a Spec. I'd say only beaten by an IT-R and CT-R.
