Hello guys,

Just want to share some info I got from Revell DE and it's bad news for any 1/24 model kit aston martin and bmw future...for now...damn you die-cast!

So here it is!

Dear Andrian,
many thanks for your nice suggestions and sorry from my side for late
reply.
When you suggest to do the cars in 1/24 scale I suppose, you think
about plastic model kits. In general, your ideas are really good and
acceptable. But in case of 1/24 plastic model kits I have to tell you, that
the success of such a model kit will become less.
Today nearly each new car will be realized as a 1/43 or 1/18 scale
die-cast model, and then automatically the interest for such a model kit
goes down. The Aston Martins are or will be done by Beanstalk/Minichamps,
the BMW´s are done by Kyosho and Mattel. The 1-series will come soon
from Kyosho.
Sorry for this information.

With best regards

Hello,

Please build the 1/24 version of aston martin db9, vanquish or even the
new v8 vantage. Don't forget the latest BMW line because they're the
avant garde of the new car design. The beautiful BMW M5, 1 series or even
the new M6.

Thank You
Andrian

Hi Olivier,

good customer service from Revell Germany?

Buy a Revell kit and some parts are missing. If you want them from Revell, you have to send them the building guide and the receipt of the shop where you bought the kit. Otherwise no spare parts.

For me: No Revell AG Kits !!!

Nothing more than a cheap lie to me. If this was true, why did they release the Ferrari 612 kit? Why do the make a F430? All these cars were already available as a f**** Die-Cast long before. I´m sure nearly all Revell car kits also exist in 1:43 or 1:18, so what do they make ANY kit for, following their own logic? :screwy:

No problem for me to renounce on the new BMW´s, as it is no loss.;)
But the new Aston-Martin cars are a real gap in the range of all manufactures. Those beautys deserve some kits. :iceslolan

Seems like you caught them on a bad day. :eek7: I never had problems to get parts from Revell Germany even without receipt. If it has become more difficult over the last years, you have to thank all the people who cheated them to get parts for free.
By the way, try to get any part from Fujimi if you´re living in Europe, even with receipt and instructions. :grinno:

Hi,

they do not practise this since a long time.

Yes, you are probably right: Some "clever" modelers got free kits by ordering spare parts - this is the result.
