Engine swap in a 1993 pontiac grand am

Do u think i can swap a v6 engine from a 1993 pontiac grand am into my 1993 pontiac grand am which has a v4?

You can swap a V6 into this model but you will need the computer and wiring harness to go with it. You will also need new motor mounts and possibly the transmission for the V6. You may run into clearance issues as well as having to build a custom exhaust. Could be quite expensive.

Since you have everything available to you then go for it. There will be quite a bit of work to do this but if you don't mind the work then you should have no problems with the swap.

You will need the engine harness, dash harness, ecm, instrument cluster, motor mounts, transmission, exhaust, shifter, air cleaner assembly, radiator, power steering pump, power steering lines, engine cradle, probably some things I have forgotten. Good luck, its a big job to do, make sure you don't cut anything on the donor car as you will probably need it.

its 10 times easier to just pull the subframe(engine cradle) down then to try and pull just the motor.
