Has anyone taken off all the letters and ram heads off there trucks. Are any holes behind any of them? I'm thinking of using dental floss w/ a hair dryer and finishing of the residual glue with goo gone.Wax and a buff. If this is a wrong path to follow please advise. PICs would be nice if you have them.

Thanks Todd

ps. sorry if this thread was rambling,it's my first.

Hi, I have a 97 1500 and I had to clean off the nose of the hood. There used to be a bug deflector glued on there but it flew off. BE CAREFUL using the hair dryer. It damaged my paint in a couple of places where I left it too long. Might try Med. heat. I had mine on Full.
Sorry, I don't know about the hole question. John M.

on dodgetalk.com they ahve a thread for the same issue. The way to get the decals off is to used ental floss then wd 40 was the best option. Other owners also suggest to save the decals for when you get rid of the truck so the dealer or whoever can put them abck on.

acually the best way is to - use a piece of fishing line for the raised things an then goo gone it an for the decals just let it sit in the sun on a hot day then carefully pick a corner up with a real thing plastic scraper - just pick the corner up an then peel it off dont scrape it off... that is the best an safest way....

good luck.
Matt
