it could be, but it must not have an O2 housing??

Yeah, big vehicles/machinery usually do have turbos, but I bet its a little different than ours.

considering it is in a train, i think its safe to assume that it is a diesel engine, therefor explaining why its turbocharged and why there is no 02 housing

Yea pretty much all diesel engines are turbo charged....If you ever get a chance to look at a semi look at the turbos.....they are fucking huge and look nothing like car turbos

Trains also have no O2 sensors on their exhaust because they have no emission controls and it probably has an EGT instead.

No big surprise if it does turn out to be a turbo, forced induction is used for everything that has some sort of combustion engine.
There was a massive diesel generator at my work. This thing was fucking HUGE. It was a backup power source to two enormous warehouses that manufactured silicone chips for electronics...it was as big as a 3 bedroom apartment. That thing had two huge turbochargers attached right outside. You could see them and the intakes. The housing was as big as tire off a semi truck, I kid you not. I never got to see it in action since there was never a power outtage, but it wouldve been pretty slick to hear them spool!

Most big rigs use 80trim bb turbos on their I6 but the turbos that they use are interchangable with automotive turbos no doubt. Its similar to installing a 60trim on the 4g63

I'm suprised that you haven't jacked one and installed it on the Spyder. :lol2:

There's no way one of those things would even remotely fit under my hood, lol. The thought had crossed my mind though :evillol:
