smokes on re-acceleration

Ok, my car drives fine, actually great since i replaced the head gasket. I have this problem though, that i have had for years with the car. It will not smoke unless i am driving and let off the gas, and say, go down a hill, and when i reaccelerate, it will look like i'm some dude off of spy hunter or something. Big smoke screen, but only when I do this scenario. Would that be my rings, or valve guides? I'm thinking rings, but want to make sure here first. And whichever it may be, can I replace them myself? Thanks.

i guess no one knows or has nothing rude to tell you. But i dont know, it might be your seals, i figure since theres no ignition to light the oil dripping in from the seals that once you do start ignition ie: back on flat ground or now going uphill, that the oil starts to burn and now you have a shitload of smoke. Maybe.....maybe not but at least i made an effort to try i see if i and you can understand whats goin on. How many miles on the motor?

I agree with the rude part, I figured I'd get flamed for my anyone post. Are you thinking maybe valve guides? Is that what you mean by seals? Thanks for your input.
