It will probably fit but it won't be a bolt on affair. The ECU for starters will be totally different and the QR25 uses a fly-by-wire throttle. You'll have to swap that out. Probably just easier to go DET. But all that being said who knows until there are actually some QR's laying around. Someone will do it I bet. :)

Its the engine that is used by the 2002 sentra that makes 170 (180 if v-spec) horses......just wondering, with everyone talking about the sr20ve, made me think about it..........someday...maybe........

not a big fan of the QR motor...2.5 and only 180hp? just get the SR20VE motor, 2 liter yet 190hp. plus installation will be so damn ez (assuming you have the ecu/harness) because the P11 Primera is the only car with the VE in japan...so if you have a P11, easy!

Yea, the only thing i really like aboutthe QR is the fact that it has SO MUCH torque.....not only does it have 180 horses, but 180 lbft of torque, thats a lot, dont you think?? Yea the displacement is bigger, but the engine itself is smaller and lighter (at least that is what the the new SCC mag says)

true, and I'm sure all the simple bolt ons will produce more HP than a 2.0 engine

Sleepy: Finding a SR20VE to import is the real problem. They are soooo rare that once you do finally find one it will probably cost you over 5 large!

actually..i found a SR20VE motor for sale from a guy that lives 30mins from me...for a while, i was really hardpressed between the DET and the VE..but nothing beats a turbo. if you are intersted in a VE, it's a complete motor with ecu, harness...it's off a 1998 P11 Primera from japan, $2400, plusing shipping. let me know

if u gona go turbo down the road u should stick with the qr25de there is no turbo lag and the response is the best with that long displacment

i turboed my spec-v and i have no regrets. sti,s and srt-4 wont do anything to me. i have no complaints
