I bought my first Metro last week for $375. It came with a half a tank of gas and the Haynes manual! It looks pretty good, almost no rust or dents, It is a 94 hatchback 203000 miles on the odometer. Compression is 185, 170, 190 so I think I got a good one. I bought it to convert to an Electric Vehicle (EV) so someday I will have a bunch of parts to get rid of like the engine, exaust, radiator, and gas tank. But to carry all those batteries I need to beef up the suspension. I don't need to lower it but I don't really want to raise it either. I searched thru the forum here for a while and it looks like people recommend using springs from a Suzuki Swift GT. I think I need to do I need to do something with the struts also. I think the struts on my Metro are shot. I am looking for recommendations and advise about what I should do, where to get the parts cheap, and how to do the work.

I would reccommend the 4 door sedan springs, they would give you more ground clearance than the GT springs! On the struts ... Monroe , KYB, they are all pretty good!
