what would you guys expect MPG wise for a 93 p-71 with 137k?
this week back and forth to work all highway 60 miles a day, i made it all week. 320 miles and the needle was close to touchin the 1/4 mark. filled it up and did the math and thats pretty much 24mpg. changed the oil today, 10-30 valv max life and got new fram air filter, see if she does better next week.
whats everyone else averaging with the 92-97 vics?

for my 94 with 3.08 gears i would average that too. if i cruised a lot of highway, i would actually exceed 30 mpg.

i have a 93 cvpi with about 110,000 on her. i average about 17.8 miles per gallon with my basic driving to and from work. but this summer when i went on a trip. i got 26.8 mpg driving over 65 with ac on. i have owned my car since april 15 of this year and have yet to change the plugs. but i think i will be changing them before winter. ??? what type of oil are yins guys using in your cars. what weight and brand name? and what will u use in the winter??? thanks guys

You are right in the normal range at 24 MPG highway.

The peak for a stock CVPI is about 26, under optimum conditions. Their lower gearing does nothing to help economy.

Standard civilian cars should EASILY get 26-28, and under ideal conditions can get 30 MPG or so. This on the '92-'97 cars, '98 up about 2 mpg less because their aerodynamics are worse.
